The Sun

Solar activity reached high levels due to X3.3 flare at 09/1314 UTC from Region 3575 (S37, L=178) from just beyond the SW limb. Associated with the flare was a 1000 sfu Tenflare, a type IV radio sweep, and a partial halo CME off the SW limb beginning at 09/1325 UTC. The CME is not expected to have any Earth-directed component given its position beyond the SW limb. Region 3576 (S16E05, Fkc/beta-gamma-delta) produced two M-class flares; an M3.1 at 09/0041 UTC and an M1.2 at 09/1800 UTC.

The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.

Solar wind speed was in decline after midday from approximately 505 km/s to near 400 km/s. Total field increased late in the period from 3 nT to 7 nT. The Bz component was between +6/-5 nT. At 09/2147 UTC, a weak shock was observed. Total field increased from 7 nT to 9 nT while the solar wind increased from 395 km/s to 500 km/s.

There is a 30% chance of solar activity, with a 15% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.

Moon Is In Aquarius

Greetings, Earthlings! It seems that our beloved lunar companion has taken up residence in the hippest star-crib of the cosmos - Aquarius! Now, don't start panicking and bulk buying crystals or anything. The Moon is still a comfortable 358410.543831388 kilometers away. No need to adjust your telescopes or send any 'welcome to the neighborhood' fruit baskets. Moon in Aquarius? Sounds like the title of a progressive rock album from the 70s, am I right? But it's not about bell-bottom pants and cosmic jam sessions. No, my friends, it’s about embracing your inner eccentricity, and let's face it, we've all got a little bit of that going on. Take this time to explore your quirky side; maybe start that collection of Star Trek memorabilia or finally invent that perpetual motion machine you've been doodling during those Zoom meetings. Just remember, folks, the Moon won't stay in this groovy cosmic district forever. She's a free spirit and will be moving on to Pisces within the next 24 hours. So don't get too attached to this Aquarian energy. Instead, think of it as a celestial springboard, propelling you into new realms of creativity and innovation. And remember, just because you're a grown-up doesn't mean you can't act a little loony when the Moon is in Aquarius. Heck, even Seven of Nine had a few unexpected moments of humor. "Resistance is futile?" More like "resisting fun is futile", especially when the lunar vibes are this out-of-this-world. So, live long and prosper, dear ones, and make the most of this intergalactic adventure while it lasts!

Mercury Is In Aquarius

Alrighty folks, buckle up your seatbelts and fasten your tin foil hats because we've got a cosmic kerfuffle about to take place! Mercury, that mischievous planet that's always zooming around too fast for its own good, has decided to park its celestial self in Aquarius. Now, this is akin to letting a hyperactive ferret loose in a library - you're bound to get some unconventional results! Aquarius, the proverbial 'mad scientist' of the zodiac, is all about pushing boundaries and questioning the status quo. So, when Mercury, the communication whizz-kid of our universe, enters this sign, expect your mind to be buzzing with ideas so far-out they'd make even Stephen Hawking raise an eyebrow. Brace yourselves for some serious 'Eureka!' moments as you begin to see your world through the eyes of an alien (metaphorically speaking, of course). The truth can sometimes be as elusive as a Weeping Angel when you blink, but with Mercury in Aquarius, it's like you've been given sonic glasses to cut through the emotional fog and see things as they really are. Now, a word of caution – while this cosmic combo is excellent for rational thought, it can sometimes make us as emotionally sensitive as a Dalek. Mercury in Aquarius can sometimes forget that other people have feelings too, so remember to tread carefully. No one likes a conversation that feels like being on the receiving end of a Cyberman's laser blaster, do they? So there you have it, intergalactic travelers, your horoscope for this wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey period of Mercury in Aquarius. Remember, in the great words of yours truly, "We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good one." Let this be a chapter where you embrace the weird, the wonderful, and the scientifically improbable!

Beam Me Up, Venus!

It's official, space cadets! Love planet Venus has packed up her cosmic suitcase and hitched a ride to Capricorn. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Wait, Venus in Capricorn? Isn't that like putting a disco ball in a library?" Well, yes, but hear me out.

When Venus shimmies into the no-nonsense realm of Capricorn, our love lives can go from a wild sci-fi adventure to an organized spreadsheet. And trust me, that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you're in a relationship, this is prime time to have 'the talk'. You know, the one about your future together, your shared goals, and maybe even...dare I say it...your five-year plan!

For those still looking for their alien soulmate, now's the time to ditch the flirty extraterrestrials and look for someone who's in it for the long haul. With Venus in Capricorn, we're all about setting our phasers to commitment.

Beyond just love, Venus in Capricorn has got us rethinking our style and our work. Suddenly, that neon jumpsuit seems a little too flashy, and we're leaning more toward the sleek spacesuit aesthetic. It's also a perfect period to launch that artistic project you've been daydreaming about. If you've ever wanted to build a life-size model of the Death Star, now's the time.

And let's not forget the career sector of our lives. Are you climbing the corporate ladder or just stuck on the first rung? Are you getting the recognition you deserve or are you feeling like the invisible man at the office? Venus in Capricorn urges you to channel your inner Captain Kirk and take command of your career trajectory.

So buckle up, space cadets. It's going to be a cosmic ride!

Mars Is In Capricorn

Ah, Mars in Capricorn! Now here's a celestial tango that gets my starry heart beating a little faster. Picture this, if you will: Mars, the fiery planet of action and ambition, is completely crashing the conservative tea party of steadfast Capricorn. It's like inviting a punk rocker to a knitting circle. You see, Capricorn, ruled by good old Saturn, is a bit of a stickler for rules and regulations. And along comes Mars, all fiery passion and impulsive action, ready to shake things up a bit. You can almost hear Capricorn's collective gulp from here. But don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds. In fact, it's rather exciting! Mars in Capricorn is like having a cosmic gym membership, pushing us to flex our metaphorical muscles. Forget daydreaming about being the best, now's the time to put on your sweatbands and start climbing that mountain. And with Capricorn's knack for planning, you won't be losing steam halfway up. Now let's talk about goals. With Mars in Capricorn, it's like having a personal life coach shouting motivational speeches into your ear (in the most endearing way possible, of course). It's not just about setting goals, it's about running, leaping, and pole-vaulting towards them. And if you don't have a goal? Well, Mars in Capricorn will give you a friendly nudge (or a swift kick) to go find one. However, while Mars and Capricorn are busy arm wrestling, let's not forget to be kind to ourselves and others. Remember, it's not just about reaching the top, it's also about how many friends you make along the way. So, as we embark on this astrological journey, let's take a moment to practice a little compassion. After all, even Mars and Capricorn need a hug sometimes. So strap on your cosmic seatbelts, folks. With Mars in Capricorn, it's going to be one wild ride. But don't worry, with a bit of planning, some hard work, and a dash of kindness, we'll all get to where we're going. And who knows, we might even have some fun along the way.

Jupiter In Taurus: The Cosmic Bull Market

Alright, buckle up stargazers! Jupiter, aka the Big Guy of the Cosmos, has just rolled into Taurus, the zodiac’s equivalent of that comfy old armchair you can't bear to part with. This cosmic combo is like a science nerd's dream date - all about wisdom, deep thought and...well, inertia (nope, not the shampoo, the physics term!). When Jupiter in Taurus happens, it’s like the universe's way of saying, "Hey, take a chill pill. The answer is right there, under your nose, possibly next to that half-eaten bag of chips."

Jupiter in Taurus is like that trusty alarm clock that says, "Wake up! Time to move towards those dreams!" It's a cosmic espresso shot, giving us the jolt we need to make detailed plans towards our goals. With Jupiter bringing its growth hormones and Taurus its dogged determination, we're encouraged to trust the process. It's like following a cosmic GPS, but the destination is success!

Now let's talk moolah. When Jupiter, the lucky charm of the planets, does the tango with Taurus, the Wall Street of the zodiac, it's like hitting a cosmic jackpot. This is the time to channel your inner financial guru and spot those investment opportunities.

But here's the catch folks - Taurus is the zodiac’s hedonist, loving all the good things in life. And when Jupiter, the planet of expansion, links arms with this luxury-loving sign, we might start treating our desires as necessities. Jupiter in Taurus could turn into the celestial equivalent of a shopping spree, so keep an eye on your impulses. Remember, even if the universe is offering cosmic credit, it’s us who will have to pay the cosmic bill!

So, grab this cosmic bull by the horns and make the most out of this transit. Just remember to keep it balanced, or your bank account might start feeling a bit...astronomically light.

Saturn Is In Pisces

Saturn in Pisces: The Ultimate Cosmic Roommate

Well folks, it’s that time again when Saturn, the "Cosmic Landlord", has decided to crash in Pisces, the Zodiac's dreamiest sign. Imagine if you will, a giant gassy planet, 1595867611.809025049km away (give or take a few km), moving prograde and knocking on your subconscious door. I mean, who invited this guy?

Now, before you shout "Invasion of personal space!" remember that when Saturn raids your mental fridge, it isn't to steal your leftover pizza. Instead, he might be urging you to turn those daydreams of writing a fantasy novel about quantum physics-loving unicorns, or opening a vegan taco truck, into reality. So unclench, breathe, and get ready to take some cosmic dictation. With Saturn in Pisces, it’s like getting life coaching from the universe itself. And trust me, the universe has seen it all.

But beware, Saturn in Pisces isn’t always as smooth as a moonwalk. Saturn is like your dad, barging into your room, asking tough questions about those dreams you've been hoarding. He might ruffle your aura a bit, but remember, he means well. After all, every dream needs a little reality check once in a while. So, instead of hanging a 'Keep Out' sign on your third eye, welcome Saturn's cosmic tidying up with open arms (or at least a half-smile).

Now, with all this spiritual spring cleaning, you might feel a bit restless. Like when you try to sleep but your brain decides to replay every embarrassing moment from 7th grade. This is where your inner Zen master comes into play. Meditate, wander aimlessly through the forest, or just take a deep breath. Heck, even take a nap (but keep that dream journal handy, you never know when Saturn might drop a wisdom bomb). This is a time for giving your mind some much-needed downtime and tuning into the cosmic podcast of wisdom.

So, fellow stargazers, as we navigate this Saturn in Pisces season, remember to embrace the cosmic chaos with a smile, breathe in the galactic guidance, and maybe, just maybe, get to bed a little early. After all, who knows what dreams may come?

Uranus Throws a Cosmic House Party in Taurus

Well, slice me up a piece of cosmic quiche and call me Buzz Aldrin, Uranus has decided to vacation in Taurus! Now folks, I don't mean to alarm you if you're a creature of habit, but let's just say this planetary conga line is going to shake things up more than a caffeine-fueled squirrel at a nut factory. Taurus, bless its steady heart, prefers to keep things as predictable as a Star Trek rerun. But Uranus? Let's just say it's the cosmic equivalent of that wild cousin who shows up uninvited to family gatherings, turns everything upside down, and leaves everyone wondering what just happened.

Now, let's chat a bit about the mighty green stuff, the universal language of the galaxy, the moolah. Taurus is a bit of a whiz when it comes to money management. But with Uranus in the mix, we might see some changes that would make even the most hardened Wall Street shark fall off their ergonomic swivel chair. Think groundbreaking shifts in currency, a banking system revamp that would make a Rubik's cube look simple, and a stock market rollercoaster faster than light speed.

On an individual level, Uranus is like your personal financial advisor from another dimension. It wants to help you break free from those ghastly chains of credit card debts, taxes, and rents that are squeezing your wallet tighter than a pair of skinny jeans after Thanksgiving dinner. It's a call to declutter, not just your closet, but also your relationship with material possessions.

Resisting these changes is like trying to teach a cat to fetch, futile and slightly absurd. Instead, embrace the chaos, and you might find yourself landing in a better place, like finding an unopened bag of chips at the end of a party. Remember, the changes happening during this period are not just temporary turbulence; they're here to stay. So buckle up, stargazers, it's going to be one wild cosmic ride!

Neptune's Cosmic Pool Party in Pisces

Well, grab your snorkels and flippers, space-travelers, because Neptune has decided to throw a cosmic pool party in Pisces. Now, before you start questioning the practicality of water sports in space, remember we're dealing with the Universe here, it doesn’t exactly play by our rules. It’s a bit like my Aunt Hilda's potluck dinner parties – expect the unexpected and always bring a plus one.

Neptune, that good ol’ blue gas giant, some 4.6 billion kilometers away (give or take a few kilometers, I left my space tape measure in my other TARDIS) is currently doing the prograde shuffle. That's just a fancy term for moving in the same direction as most of the other planets, no moonwalking here unfortunately. Trust me, nothing funnier than a planet trying to moonwalk.

As Neptune splashes about in the deep pool of Pisces, an extraordinary thing happens. Suddenly, we're all gifted with a pair of cosmic goggles. The Piscean focus on emotions and spirit, combined with Neptune's love of unity, acts like a pool cleaner for our spiritual water wings, helping us float above the usual petty squabbles of life. We begin to realize that we’re all swimming in the same cosmic pool, so we should probably stop trying to splash each other and start working on our synchronized swimming routine instead.

It's time to dive deep into our own emotional intelligence and fish out our unique contributions to the world. Maybe you're the one who brings the inflatable flamingo to the pool party, adding a touch of fun and creativity. Or perhaps you're the one with the life-saving ring, ready to help those in need. Whatever your role, Neptune in Pisces is nudging you to jump in and make some waves. After all, it's not every day a planet invites you to its pool party!

So, whether you're considering enrolling in that underwater basket weaving course or setting up your own sacred space at home (complete with a rubber duck altar), remember, the energy of Neptune in Pisces is here to support you. Now, where did I put my water wings?

Pluto In Aquarius: Cosmic Stand-Up Comedy

Alright, alright, gather round all you star children and let's talk about Pluto. No, not the adorable Disney dog, or the dwarf planet that got kicked out of the cool kids' club. I'm talking about Pluto, the planet of transformation, currently doing a celestial shimmy right into Aquarius. It’s like the universe's version of extreme home makeover but instead of Ty Pennington, we get a cold, distant, rock.

Now, when I say transformation, I don't mean the kind where you decide to cut bangs at 2 AM or swap your morning coffee for green tea. Nope, Pluto is all about the deep, soulful, "I just finished a self-help book" kind of change. It’s about shedding old identities like snake skin and releasing perspectives that no longer serve us. I mean, who needs baggage when you're soaring through the cosmos, right?

This jazzy combo of Aquarius and Pluto packs quite a punch, like Batman and Robin, but for universal progress. Get ready for a techno-scientific revolution that'll make Star Trek look like a quaint period drama. And it's not just about fancy gadgets and exploring the final frontier. This planetary alignment is also about levelling up our humanity game. Imagine a world where power comes from unity and empathy, instead of who has the biggest... er... spaceship.

In our personal lives, Pluto in Aquarius is like that annoying gym trainer, always pushing us to be better. It wants us to redefine 'selfish' - not as 'me first', but as 'us first'. Or 'them first'. Basically, anyone but 'me first'. It's a tall order, I know. But hey, if we can put a man on the moon, we can probably put someone else's needs above our own once in a while.

So, will we answer the call? Or will we let it go to voicemail like that gym membership we never use? Only time, and the stars, will tell!

Sun Conjunct Moon

Your individuality and personality seem at one today. You feel like you really know and understand yourself and what it is that you want and need to do. Today might be a good day to shine light on your unconscious attitudes and habit patterns with the hope of improving your weak points. Change the areas of your personality that you aren't satisfied with.

The Sun

The Sun

Sun Square Uranus

Surprises may be in store for you today. These surprises may be disruptive and, if so, they are designed to help you grow. Look upon them as challenges and learning experiences. Problems today could come because of your eccentric behavior. Avoid bohemian tendencies and doing things just to be different. People are likely to take offense at your uniqueness. Don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself. Be alert today as impulsiveness may lead to accidents. Resist the urge to overthrow everything just for the sake of something new.The ego is quite large when the Sun is square or opposite Uranus. This is largely due to the fact that these people’s very identities ride on their sense of personal freedom. It can be quite a challenge to get them to do what they don’t want to do, simply because they see any attempts to push them in a certain direction as threatening their freedom. These are very dynamic individuals who question tradition and authority, yet, paradoxically, are quite set in their own ways. These people have a love-hate relationship with their own uniqueness. Much of the time they are very proud of their original personalities. Other times, they feel a bit left out for being “different”. Although they are humanitarian in many ways, they can be a little brusque when it comes to sentimentality or what they perceive to be excessive attachment to the past or to tradition. When the Sun and Uranus form a challenging aspect, there can be a lot of nervous energy and defensiveness. It can be difficult to hold a 9 to 5 job or to develop steady routines. They work best when they can manage their own schedules. They work in spurts. When they are hit with creative inspiration, they are capable of tremendous effort. However, they can be quite temperamental, and it is very hard for them to pour their hearts and souls into something that they don’t “feel” for at the moment. They don’t like superficiality or pretense, which is an admirable trait. However, their disdain for pretense can be problematic in a world where people are expected to perform whether they are inspired or not! I have a daughter who has the Sun in challenging aspect to Uranus, and there was quite an adjustment period when she entered first grade–a time when kids begin to truly experience structure. When the children in her gym class were told to dance, she simply stood there, immobile. When asked why she was not dancing, she replied, “But I don’t feel the dance inside of me, so how can I dance?” Sun-Uranus people don’t always feel like they “fit in” with the rules and structures of society. However, those that recognize the need to conform at least some of the time may be able to channel their high levels of intuition, inventiveness, and spiritedness into creative endeavors or important causes. They might find that they encounter much less resistance in day-to-day life this way. Some Famous People with Sun in Hard Aspect to Uranus: Squares – Alan Alda, Billy Crystal, Stephen King, O. Your judgment may not be perfect today. You may tend to exaggerate and promise more than you can deliver. You may likely bite off more than you can chew. Mental arrogance is possible. Be tolerant of others' viewpoints. Be careful with contracts and other legal issues. You may appear closed-minded, smug or self-righteous to others. You love to express your ideas, sharing them with others quite readily. Jumping to conclusions can be a problem in your life. You often overlook details, preferring to discover the “big picture” quickly. Your thinking and studying habits are not always orderly or disciplined, and this can of course result in sloppiness. Especially with the opposition, you might vacillate between logical, precise thinking and an optimistic conclusion-drawing bent of mind, and in the process, it can be challenging for you to truly get to the heart of a subject or to focus for very long. You may confuse others with a critical flaw-finding conversation one moment, and an overly faithful and unrealistic opinion the next. While your intentions are generally good, you might overestimate what you are capable of, and promise more than you can deliver. Be careful not to develop a reputation for being unreliable, simply because you desire to make others happy with what you say or promise. You are inclined to exaggerate, often without meaning to, and you might have a hard time putting your ideas into practice. In an attempt to attach greater meaning to your thoughts and ideas, you might frequently overstate or overestimate. You can be extraordinarily funny and interesting. You possess an acute but disorderly mind; you can come to rapid conclusions without knowing all the facts. You must learn to be more disciplined, to concentrate more on details and to be more persistent with your projects. In relationships, tolerance is the most important “ingredient” to these people. Their sexual preferences are somewhat unconventional, and they won’t be happy with a partner who tries to limit their sexual expression. They are usually quite capable of maintaining relationships that require a great deal of freedom and tolerance, such as long-distance romances or set-ups in which partners are unable to see each other consistently. Their style in love is somewhat free and breezy, and noncommittal. They quite naturally accept the idea that their partner might need some personal space and freedom. The trine aspect is the more dynamic of the two harmonious aspects. You may be tempted to bully people into doing your will. The spirit of competition is strong, but try to be cooperative instead. Much can be accomplished if you will use your energies and your indomitable will together, in harmony. Do not try to control people or events. Concentrate on doing your best and things will work out the way they are supposed to. People who are coerced to do your will, will at some time try to even up the score. It's not worth it. Avoid power struggles and be aware that someone might try to control you. If so, all you have to do is stand up for your rights.Your ability to commit yourself to a task or goal is tremendous. When inspired, you are able to draw upon great stores of strength and determination. You can be so single-minded and focused that you readily lose yourself in a particular task, possibly to the point of obsession! You can be very skilled at investigation and research. Quite automatically, you are interested in what motivates and drives others, which can make you a natural psychologist. You might find that you constantly challenge yourself to take on more and to do more. You might watch this tendency if it seems to take over your life, as you may never feel satisfied with your accomplishments. Your stamina and endurance tend to be stronger than most. You don’t take kindly to others’ attempts to bully or push you, and you can be extremely stubborn when pushed. You are always especially aware of, and sensitive to, others’ use of power and authority. Resentment can be a problem and letting things go can be very challenging. Your gut reactions are rather intense and emotional in quality. As you mature, you are likely to learn that detaching yourself a little helps you to be more objective and constructive. You might have some fear of your own anger, assertiveness, power, and drive, particularly early in life if your intense nature has been misunderstood. You are not always forthcoming about your intentions and plans, and you typically strategize well in pursuit of a goal rather than go after what you want loudly and directly. While this means you can out-maneuver practically anyone, and although your determination is admirable, you might watch for a somewhat paranoid tendency to keep your plans to yourself if this stems from fear that your intentions will be misunderstood. Whether or not you choose to take advantage of others is entirely up to you. There is an “all or nothing” quality to your nature. You prefer that others see you as strong and in control. Allowing trusted people to see your more vulnerable qualities can take time.Your strong desire to make things happen through your own efforts can bring you much success. “What will be, will be” is certainly not your motto. Notes about Transits

Mars is all about action, and where Mars is in our chart with transits is a place where we are prepared to stand our ground. Mars transits can be really productive, but they can also be angsty, aggressive, and sometimes come from a place of anger. It's important to pay attention to how you direct that energy. Mars transits can last for up to a couple weeks.
Jupiter transits enhance your life with optimism and forward-thinking, and lasting for about a month, give you plenty of time to take advantage. Bigger and better is Jupiter's way of thinking, and should be yours as well.
Saturn transits, on the other hand, are where we get a major reality check, and if we’re not ready for them, they can be pretty rotten. Of course, if we’re prepared and up to the task, Saturn transits can also bring very well-deserved rewards, too. Saturn transits last a bit longer than Jupiter transits—usually 2 months or so at a time, but with retrograde cycles, you could be looking at the same lessons three times over a 6 month period.
The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last for such a long time that they make long-lasting impacts on our lives. In fact, Neptune and Pluto can last for two to three years! Consider their effects, plan accordingly, and make them part of your life for the better.
