Solar activity remained at low levels with C-class flare activity from a variety of regions. Region 3245 (S23W18, Csi/Beta) began to exhibit signs of decay in its trailing spots and a decrease in overall areal coverage. Despite apparent stabilization, this region produced the two largest flares of the period, a C7/1f flare at 10/0708 UTC and a C4.5/1f flare at 10/1006 UTC respectively. Region 3242 (N10W44, Cso/Beta) also showed signs of decay as it began its approach to the western limb, yet presented a C3.9 flare at 10/1006 UTC.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
Solar wind parameters reflected lingering weak enhancements, likely attributed to residual CH HSS and CME effects. Total field averaged near 5 nT for most of the period, with a brief increase to near 10 nT around 10/0600 UTC. Bz fluctuated between +/-7 nT and wind speeds settled to near 400 km/s for most of the period. Phi fluctuated briefly between sectors but was in a predominantly negative sector.
There is a 25% chance of solar activity, with a 5% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
