The Sun

Solar activity was low due to a pair of C1 flares. Six sunspot groups were present on the visible disk. The most notable were Regions 2842 (N25W66, Dsi/beta-gamma), 2845 (S15W61, Dso/beta), and 2847 (S28E61, Cro/beta). Region 2842 underwent decay, while it maintained a slight mixed magnetic polarity configuration and produced a B9 flare at 21/1348 UTC. Region 2845 underwent additional growth and produced a C1 flare at 21/2005 UTC. Region 2847 underwent decay and produced a B5 flare at 21/1100 UTC. New NOAA/SWPC Region 2849 (S18E75, Axx/alpha) was assigned this period. The new region was too foreshortened to conduct a thorough analysis. However, magnetograms suggest there may be more to this region yet to rotate into view and the C1 flare at 21/1604 UTC appeared to be from what may remain of this region just beyond the SE limb.

The solar kp index is active, reinforcing retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.

Solar wind parameters were indicative of weak, positive polarity CH HSS influences. Total IMF strength was primarily 3-5 nT and the Bz component was mostly northward directed, with one prolonged period of weak southward orientation. Solar wind speed ranged mostly from 450-525 km/s. The phi angle was predominantly positive.

There is a 25% chance of solar activity, with a 5% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.

Moon In Capricorn

How much do you have left undone right now? Focus your attention on those unfinished projects and get them off your plate. Put in the work and while the moon is in Capricorn you're going to clear that todo list. Work smart! With the moon in conservative Capricorn, it's time to be a bit more cautious, focus seriously, and embrace that "down to earth" nature. Pay attention to the longer-term goals. During this Capricorn Moon, take note of your professional life. Put in the extra effort and it will pay off, and always keep your eye on the next move.

The Sun

The Sun is in Cancer

The Sun will change from Cancer to Leo in the next 24 hours.

The Sun is at 29 Can 52' 56", and is 151984923 km away and approaching.

The Sun In Cancer

Life takes a sentimental turn when the Sun is in Cancer, the zodiac sign associated with home, family, and feelings.

Cancer coincides with the Summer Solstice, the official start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. This is a time when we’ll all celebrate the joy, light, and blessings that summer brings. Cancer is ruled by the Moon, the planet of emotions and inner self. This reminds us of the deeply sensitive nature of this sign. When the Sun moves through this sign, we’re encouraged to listen to our feelings and respond to them in a constructive matter.

Cancer loves spending time with family and close friends. Cook dinner together, work on a craft project, or cuddle up on the couch with a good movie during this transit. Cancer craves security, so stick close to home and enjoy summertime in your own backyard. Even better, host a big barbecue to make your friends and family feel loved.

Cancer is an emotional sign, so while there are many highs during this time, the extra sensitivity you’re feeling may bring on a bad mood -- fast. This is why you’d be wise to stay home and cuddle up with your loved ones while the Sun is in Cancer. Sun in Cancer is a beautiful, tender, and sentimental time to enjoy with all your heart. Feel the feelings and love the love, as it only gets this sweet once a year.

Pluto

Mercury

Mercury is in Cancer

Mercury is prograde at 18 Can 28' 53", moving at 2 degrees per day, and is 183934304 km away and receding.

Mercury In Cancer

The mind and the heart grow closer while Mercury travels through Cancer. We think about things on a deeper level during this transit, and have a greater ability to process and express our feelings. Mercury in Cancer gives us a chance to communicate with a softer touch, become more intimate, and share ourselves more personally with others.

Cancer the Crab is focused on all the things that make us feel comfortable, safe, and loved. When the planet of communication is in this sign, it’s easier to connect lovingly with others. We want our family, friends, and loved ones to KNOW they’re loved, and we find it easy to express the most caring and protective sides of ourselves when Mercury is in Cancer.

During Mercury’s transit through Cancer, we should open our minds to the messages we receive from our intuition. As a Water sign, Cancer has a very acute intuition. Mercury’s dance through Cancer doesn’t erase Mercury’s usual logic, but expands it to include instincts and gut feelings - information that cannot be put into words. This time gives us a heightened ability to draw necessary insights from sources you don’t always have access to.

It has been said that the biggest communication problem we humans have is that we do not listen to understand, we listen to reply. But that’s not the case with Mercury in Cancer. During this transit, we care enough to stop talking and start listening. Even silence can be full of meaning now. Mercury in Cancer is a reminder that real listening is done with the heart, as well as with the ears.

Pluto

Venus

Venus is in Virgo

Venus is prograde at 00 Vir 32' 38", moving at 1.2 degrees per day, and is 205657095 km away and approaching.

Venus In Virgo

When Venus is in Virgo, we’re being urged to become more reserved and discriminating when it comes to matters of the heart. You may begin to feel that if you can’t have a perfect love, you’d rather not have any love at all. For those that are coupled, Venus in Virgo is a cosmic opportunity to take a step back and determine if we’re getting what we deserve out of our relationships. If single, this is a time when we’ll see the red flags that we might normally miss with any love interests. In fact, this transit may have us more in love with work and service than love itself.

The downside to this time of going over our relationships with a fine-tooth comb is that we may end up nitpicking our partners more than usual, because we find it difficult to let the little things go. It’s possible to keep excess criticism under control by having constructive dialogue rather than just pointing out each and every fault we see. This is a great time to make necessary adjustments in our relationships so that we move forward more positively. In fact, your relationship may end up being better off because of Venus in Virgo!

All of this relationship analysis doesn’t sound very sexy, but despite how it may seem, Venus in Virgo can be passionate. That’s because Virgo is an Earth sign, and it’s all about appreciating food, art, nature, and people. In fact, we appreciate the best of those things because Venus is in Virgo, and that includes what goes on between the sheets. However, we’ll all be a little bit more conservative when Venus in Virgo, so don’t expect any quick flings during this transit.

Pluto

Mars

Mars is in Leo

Mars is prograde at 25 Leo 22' 46", moving at 0.63 degrees per day, and is 377554737 km away and receding.

Mars In Leo

Leo the Lion knows that life without enjoyment is no life at all. All work and no play makes us all dull. So when Mars moves through this fun-loving sign, we’re encouraged to not just recognize the positive moments, but to actually make time for more happiness, excitement, and play.

Mars in Leo is also a time to follow your heart. Leo rules the heart, and his enthusiastic passion is rewarded during this transit. Adopting the Lion’s confidence and courage helps us pursue whatever it is that sets our souls on fire. Outside of Mars in Leo, there are few chances to reach this level of creativity and eagerness in our lives, which is why we must relish this opportunity!

While confidence is a good thing, overconfidence can lead to trouble, and that’s definitely a risk while Mars is in Leo. We think we deserve the rewards without doing the work, and deserve unwavering respect whether we give it or not. Leo is a stellar performer, but acting the part isn’t enough. If you want to be admired, you must be admirable. If you want to be a leader, you must lead. If you want to be respected, you must be respectable.

Enthusiasm is contagious while Mars is in Leo but so is drama. We crave more attention during this transit, and when we don’t get it, we feel offended. Because Leo is the sign of expression, we won’t sit idly by. We need to roar to show how we feel, which could lead to one or two explosive situations.

The best lesson to learn while Mars moves through Leo is that the ego can be both a beautiful and a disastrous thing. We feel proud when our egos are fed, but offended when they are hurt or ignored. This transit offers you a chance to reflect on what ego means to you, and to balance the role it plays in your life.

Pluto

Jupiter

Jupiter is in Pisces

Jupiter is retrograde at 00 Pis 36' 44", moving backwards at 0.09 degrees per day, and is 618229121 km away and approaching.

Jupiter In Pisces

Jupiter is quite happy swimming in the wide and deep waters of Pisces. Jupiter is known as the Great Teacher, but during his transit through Pisces, the most important knowledge doesn’t come from reading books or listening to lectures. This is a time to learn from our souls. It’s a time to gain knowledge through silence, whether through meditation or walking through a quiet forest. Information and truths are sensed and learned within us and cannot be reduced to a simple sentence or two. With Jupiter in Pisces, the real prizes are found in our hearts, not our heads.

Our connection to something bigger than ourselves grows during Jupiter’s transit through Pisces. Pisces is the sign of spirituality, and Jupiter is the planet of philosophy and religion. When these two team up, our concept of faith expands greatly. We can learn so much about our own spiritual connections by listening to the experiences and views of others. Instead of seeing our personal viewpoints as right and others’ as wrong, this is a time to realize that we are all connected to the same sense of spirit, even if the specific paths we take and symbols or teachings we follow look different from someone else’s. Spirituality is such a personal concept, yet realizing there are many, many paths toward connection and enlightenment can actually help us solidify or expand our own unique views.

While Jupiter moves through Pisces, our egos pull back and our sense of compassion expands tremendously. We are more intuitive at this time, helping us to truly feel the worries, fears, and suffering of others. We cannot simply disregard others’ problems as their own. Instead, we are eager to help those around us to heal and to reach a happier place. Jupiter is a planet of great positivity and reward, and in this sense, the reward is a greater connection to loved ones, and the knowledge that we’ve truly helped another soul back onto the right path.

Overall Jupiter in Pisces blesses us with a beautiful energy that helps to strengthen our relationships with others and teaches us a great deal about ourselves. There is, however, one word of warning during this transit. Pisces is a very idealistic sign and, combined with Jupiter’s abundance of positivity, our expectations can become so idealistic that we set ourselves up for disappointment. An optimistic outlook is always a good thing, but if our head and both feet are up in the clouds, reality could bring us crashing down. We mustn’t lose our sense of hope and wonder, but we must realize that a bit of prudence can help us avoid a big letdown.

Pluto

Saturn

Saturn is in Aquarius

Saturn is retrograde at 10 Aqu 58' 42", moving backwards at 0.07 degrees per day, and is 1339386025 km away and approaching.

Saturn In Aquarius

Aquarian energy is humanitarian. It is full of boundless ideas about what will improve the lives of others, and how shared efforts can make the world a better place. As the 11th sign of the zodiac, Aquarius rules over the 11th House of Groups and Visions. This is the playground of visionaries, inventors, and creators. But as with anything airy, this sign exists primarily on the mental plane. This is why when grounded and pragmatic Saturn moves into Aquarius, the two inspire each other in truly monumental ways.

With this focus on structure in the realm of groups and visions, now is the perfect time for us to connect with others and take action on our most lofty plans: find ways to give back to the community, network in some way with people in your field, or lay the groundwork for that non-profit that's been kicked around for ages.

Saturn in Aquarius can also be a very auspicious time to begin or deepen a relationship. This transit brings people together to reach beyond the individual’s capabilities. Romances or marriages that are established during this time are some of the most powerful and activated unions of all.

As much as this transit strengthens and deepens connections, it also has the potential to end that which is no longer serving us (or maybe never did in the first place). Be on the lookout for people and connections that drain you, and be ready to let them go. Now is the time for building sturdy and lasting structures. Sometimes this means letting go of weak links in friendship, love, and work.

Pluto

Uranus

Uranus is in Taurus

Uranus is prograde at 14 Tau 27' 30", moving at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 2988405765 km away and approaching.

Uranus In Taurus

Taurus is a sign that likes things steady and stable, and isn’t the best at handling big, sudden changes. But big, sudden changes are what Uranus is all about! Taurus would prefer to stick to the status quo and keep doing things the way they’ve always been done. The problem is, the old ways aren’t always the best ways. Even if we are resistant to the changes Uranus in Taurus brings, we have no choice but to go along for the ride, and, chances are, we’ll realize in the end that these changes brought us to a much better place.

Money is Taurus’ main area of expertise, so while Uranus is in Taurus, we can expect some very revolutionary ways of handling and dealing with money, both nationwide and worldwide. During the seven years Uranus will spend in Taurus, brand-new forms of currency may arise, banks and banking could come to a halt or change dramatically, and the housing and stock markets may be in for a major shake-up.

On a more personal level, Uranus in Taurus encourages us to break free from the grips of money: debt, taxes, credit card interest, rent, and mortgages are all things that can prevent us from saving money or using it the way we want to. We may also feel trapped by our material possessions in general. During this transit, we must be ready and willing to change our relationship to money and materialism. We no longer have a choice. Uranus is here to liberate us, and digging in our heels and resisting won’t make things any easier, and won’t stop these changes from happening. The changes we make during this period can actually help bring us to a point of greater stability, and can be very long-lasting.

Pluto

Neptune

Neptune is in Pisces

Neptune is retrograde at 23 Pis 00' 43", moving backwards at 0.01 degrees per day, and is 4383625080 km away and approaching.

Neptune In Pisces

Neptune in Pisces grants us a unique form of sight. As the Piscean focus on emotion and spirit merges with Neptune’s pull to unify all things, a clarity emerges from the fog, shedding light on our own contradictions. We can suddenly see clearly the futility of caring about petty differences. The value of coming together shines like gold, and the path to wholeness is illuminated.

This transit calls us to look at what we each can contribute toward our collective progress and healing. We all have gifts, ideas, and dreams for how things could be. Neptune in Pisces is an invitation to explore our emotional intelligence for our own unique offerings.

This is the perfect time to take a course in a spiritual path that calls to us, or to create an altar space at home and connect with that which feels most sacred. The energy of Neptune in Pisces nudges us to consider how to then share these ideas with the world, and reminds us that its presence will support us in this process.

Pluto

Pluto

Pluto is in Capricorn

Pluto is retrograde at 25 Cap 27' 05", moving backwards at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 4983579714 km away and receding.

Pluto In Capricorn

Pluto and Capricorn are both oriented toward success and power, sharing a strong sense of intention and focus that makes them very efficient in their tasks. We may find that our compassion for the viewpoints of other people gets cast aside during this transit, though, since both Pluto and Capricorn demand results. Beware of being intolerant of ideas other than your own.

Pluto wants us to jettison our negative patterns that no longer work for us. Of course, this involves some constructive destruction. Be deliberate in what you destroy as you create.

The Sun

The Sun

Sun Opposite Pluto

Power struggles may be likely today. You may encounter others who try to force their will on you or others who resent feeling as if you are forcing your ego on them. Try to compromise and find a balance. Transformation can come about if you are open to change and if you can keep your ego from becoming all-encompassing. Today may be an intense day. Control your arrogance and your domineering attitudes. Be reasonable.People born under a challenging aspect between the Sun and Pluto are prone to inner tension and negative, self-destructive behavior. When things are going well, they suffer from fears that something will come along to change that. Their thought patterns can be negative, and if not kept in check, they can seriously undermine their happiness. Constantly worrying that the rug will be pulled from under their feet can easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Sun-Pluto have tremendous power and strength–when they learn to accept and use that strength, instead of fear it, they are some of the most effective, insightful, helpful, and healing people around! One of the most prominent characteristics of these aspects is the tendency to be intensely dissatisfied with their personal accomplishments and expressions of self. These people put a lot of pressure on themselves regarding their own endeavors. A child, for example, with a challenging Sun-Pluto aspect may work hard at a piece of artwork, decide it’s not right, destroy it, and start all over again. This same child will be especially disturbed if they feel people are watching as they create their artwork. This is a simple example, but it’s quite descriptive of the tendency for these people to be dissatisfied with their creative self-expressions, and to want to hide their expressions from others until they feel the output is “right”. This is largely due to a perceived inability to express or reveal their true personalities to others. They experience a simultaneous urge to express themselves and to hide themselves. They struggle with a deep need to control themselves and life itself. Rarely are Sun-Pluto people completely satisfied with themselves. They are especially sensitive to criticism, and feel the need to “redo” themselves often. There is a marked fear of losing control, and this might stem from some traumatic event in childhood, or the childhood might have been crisis-ridden or emotionally-charged in general. As such, these people are often intensely fearful of, or threatened by, change. This can express itself through attempts to control their lives such that they can manage their fears of being taken off guard. Of course, this generally backfires!Another characteristic of these aspects is an intense need for privacy. They fear being exposed or invaded. Again, this is an expression of their dissatisfaction with the self they are projecting, and they are generally uncomfortable with their evolving ego. They seem to undergo many identity crises, and they feel the need to control what others know about them and think about them. Their fear of exposing themselves might cause them problems with others, who may begin to mistrust them, presuming that if they are so protective of their privacy, they must have something sinister to hide. The truth is, they struggle with a dissatisfaction with themselves and their fear of being exposed is really about a fear of being vulnerable, as well as a manifestation of their own identity crisis. These people are quick to read between the lines. They need to be careful, however, to avoid reading negative or dark things into situations or people. They need to know that if their tendency is to hunt for dark “truths” rather than unbiased truths, this is a self-destructive behavior that stems from fear. Many people with these aspects are overly attached to things, habits, people, and their past. At the root of this is an intense fear of change that would threaten to make them vulnerable. Still, Pluto’s goal is to transform through change. Inevitably, Sun-Pluto people will have to face their fear of change and accept that they need change in order to grow.We all have a dark, irrational side, but people with Sun-Pluto in hard aspect are forced to confront it and integrate it into their personalities. It can be a challenging process, especially because the Sun rules all that is “light” – the rational, conscious mind. The Sun is noble and righteous by nature. Aligned with Pluto, it can have a hard time accepting the darker, intense, and often irrational Pluto energies into one cohesive whole. This is the challenge that Sun-Pluto face. If these people find themselves using manipulative tactics to get their way, or attempting to control others through subversive tactics, it is a clear cue that they are mishandling Pluto energies. It is a powerful indication that their self-image is low. There is little satisfaction derived from getting our way through manipulation. It only serves to make us feel less effective in the long run and on a personal level. If I were to win a favor by using subversive tactics, what will it prove to me? It will reinforce my feeling that I am not effective just by being myself. And, effectiveness is something Sun-Pluto craves.Especially with the opposition, these people might attract manipulative, possessive, or jealous people into their lives. With the square, there is more of a tendency to attract dangerous or upsetting situations in the life. Either way, these people need to get in touch with the reason why they are attracting these people and situations. In all likelihood, they are not handling their own fears effectively, and they feel they are not in control of their lives, and a looping pattern is thereby created. They eventually come to realize that they are very strong people with enormous resilience. They need to identify with, face, and accept their “dark” side. Self-acceptance is the key to handling this aspect. Channeling Pluto energy into constructive channels is also important.Famous people with Sun in hard aspect to Pluto: Squares – Wynonna Judd (Sun square Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto), Jamie Lee Curtis, Sally Field; Oppositions – Muhammad Ali, Robert Duvall, John Travolta, Elvis Presley, Steve Allen, John Hurt, James Earl Jones; Oppositions – Nicole Brown Simpson, R.D. Venus

Venus

Venus Opposite Jupiter

You will probably overindulge yourself today, with regrets later. This is true both with eating and spending. A distinct laziness may overcome you and you will want to be pampered. Self-discipline is needed in order to avoid trouble now or later. Others may think you are too spoiled. Don't procrastinate. These people are big-hearted and warm, with open hearts and a tendency to want to give a lot to the people they love. They can have some problems with following through on their promises, however–not because of any ill intent, but because they sometimes overestimate their personal capabilities, and want to do more, and give more, than is actually possible. At distinct times in their lives, they have a tendency to live beyond their means. They need to be cautious about the tendency to feel overly-optimistic or overly protected. Borrowing from their future and overdoing their indulgence in pleasures is a marked tendency. While people with the conjunction, sextile, or trine between Venus and Jupiter express their bigheartedness, tolerance, generosity, and magnanimity in a generally constant and natural manner, these same expressions for those people with the square, opposition, and quincunx between these planets tend to be problematic at times. Their need for growth, good humor, and fun in their relationships is marked, as is their disdain for insincerity. However, they may attract just those kinds of people simply because they are looking so hard for these traits that they assign them onto undeserving people!Moderation is the most important, and perhaps challenging, lesson in these people’s lives.Interpretation sample from the Your Spiritual Path report — Your sense of form and harmony extend into the important relationships of your life. Notes about Transits

Mars is all about action, and where Mars is in our chart with transits is a place where we are prepared to stand our ground. Mars transits can be really productive, but they can also be angsty, aggressive, and sometimes come from a place of anger. It's important to pay attention to how you direct that energy. Mars transits can last for up to a couple weeks.
Jupiter transits enhance your life with optimism and forward-thinking, and lasting for about a month, give you plenty of time to take advantage. Bigger and better is Jupiter's way of thinking, and should be yours as well.
Saturn transits, on the other hand, are where we get a major reality check, and if we’re not ready for them, they can be pretty rotten. Of course, if we’re prepared and up to the task, Saturn transits can also bring very well-deserved rewards, too. Saturn transits last a bit longer than Jupiter transits—usually 2 months or so at a time, but with retrograde cycles, you could be looking at the same lessons three times over a 6 month period.
The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last for such a long time that they make long-lasting impacts on our lives. In fact, Neptune and Pluto can last for two to three years! Consider their effects, plan accordingly, and make them part of your life for the better.
