Mercury next enters retrograde in 65 days.
Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
There are no planets in retrograde!
The Solar System at a Glance
Solar wind parameters reflected a slightly enhanced environment due to weak, negative polarity CH HSS influence. Solar wind speed ranged from 404-472 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-7 nT while the Bz component varied between +/-4 nT. Phi angle was in a predominately negative solar sector through 12/1210 UTC, but became variable thereafter.
There is a 10% chance of solar activity, with a 1% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
