Solar activity decreased to very low levels with B-class flare activity observed from Region 3078 (S24W74, Dai/beta-gamma), 3081 (N11W52, Hax/alpha) and 3084 (S09W12, Bxo/beta). Region 3078 indicated significant decay as it approached the SW limb, but was still has the potential for significant activity. All remaining spotted regions on the Sun were in gradual decay.

The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is high, making retrograde effects significantly increased!

Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected enhancements from a negative polarity CH HSS coupled with CME effects. Total magnetic field strength ranged from 3-7 nT, the Bz component varied between +/-5 nT and solar wind speed gradually decreased from about 650 km/s to near 475 km/s through the period. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in the negative sector.

There is a 30% chance of solar activity, with a 35% chance of a minor event, a 15% chance of a moderate event, and a 5% chance of a strong event.

Mercury

Mercury is in Virgo

Mercury is prograde at 24 Vir 40' 04", moving at 1.2 degrees per day, and is 152672673 km away and approaching.

Mercury In Virgo

Mercury’s move into Virgo begins a period when our minds are sharp, our speech becomes precise, and we’re able to communicate with others more efficiently. We aren’t interested in sugar-coating our words under this transit -- we want to cut through the clutter and get straight to the point.

Virgo is highly skilled at taking in tons of information and stripping out everything that’s not necessary. So while Mercury moves through Virgo, our power to analyze information becomes much stronger, which helps us communicate our thoughts in the clearest way possible.

Productivity is one of the biggest benefits of Mercury in Virgo. While it’s not the most fun transit, our opportunities to make real progress are huge. Instead of getting stuck in a trap of dead-end ideas or in conversations that seem to go in circles, we are intently focused on details and useful information, making this a time of great forward movement.

One thing we must be beware of during this transit is becoming hyper-critical. Discernment is a good thing, but during Mercury in Virgo we can be so focused on finding faults that we insult others or become frustrated by our own flaws. Refining the way we speak to others and conveying our opinions with tact is key with Mercury in this discriminating sign.

Venus

Venus is in Leo

Venus is prograde at 11 Leo 38' 05", moving at 1.23 degrees per day, and is 243536727 km away and receding.

Venus In Leo

When lovely Venus enters Leo, the most expressive of all the zodiac signs, we’re ready to shout our love from the rooftops. Leo is a Fire sign that’s all about creativity, showing off, and speaking from the heart, so this energy lights up love like a torch. Expect playful dates, loud declarations of love, and maybe even a few jealous tantrums. Big feelings will be expressed now, one way or another!

No one wants to simply be liked or appreciated when Venus is in Leo, we want to be adored. This is a time to take risks and make grand gestures, so those who play it safe could be left on the sidelines during this transit.

Clearly, love isn’t calm or easygoing while Venus is in Leo. While the Lion just wants to play and enjoy life, Leo is also a sign that’s full of drama, and if we feel like we’re not getting the attention or recognition we deserve, we may lash out at lovers who are only doing their best. During this transit we may even start a passionate argument just to stir things up and feel like the center of attention again. Remember, there is no "i" in "we," and the more we focus on only ourselves and our own needs, the more likely we are to end up with just that: only ourselves.

Money is a means to an end while Venus is in Leo. It’s all about making yourself and the ones you care about feel like a million bucks. Leo is an extravagant sign who appreciates glitz, glitter, and glamour, so it’s natural to splurge a bit during this transit. But pampering ourselves will only bring us a certain amount of satisfaction. Leo is a supremely generous sign, and spending money on thoughtful or over-the-top gifts for others will make us even happier than treating ourselves now.

Venus is Leo is an especially colorful time that can re-energize your relationships with others, and remind you that a life without a little bit of fun and excitement is no life at all.

Mars

Mars is in Gemini

Mars is prograde at 00 Gem 32' 51", moving at 0.58 degrees per day, and is 152567688 km away and approaching.

Mars In Gemini

You can say goodbye to boredom while active Mars moves through curious Gemini. With Mars in Gemini, we’re so excited to explore new ideas and start new hobbies that we have no interest in sitting around idly. There’s so much out there to discover, and Mars’ transit through Gemini is just the time to do it.

However, because there are so many things that pique our interest during this transit, it’s hard to stay focused on one thing for too long. The challenge is to stay on track, or to realize that many tracks can take us to our goal. Diversity is the name of Gemini’s game, and Mars in Gemini is about tasting, rather than making a total commitment. We have a greater amount of flexibility when it comes to how we go after what we want. If Plan A doesn’t work out, it’s no problem. We can quickly come up with a Plan B, C, and even D.

Gemini is a childlike, fun-loving sign, but Mars in Gemini isn’t all fun and games. We’re quick to move from one thing to the next during this transit, but there could be consequences for leaving projects unfinished. We’re like butterflies, flitting about a garden of interests. This satisfies our need for discovery, but it could also make us feel generally scattered and unfocused.

Because Mars is the planet of action and drive, it’s no surprise that it’s also the planet of passion and sex. While Mars is in Gemini, the greatest erogenous zone becomes the brain, and we simply must have mental stimulation with our partners before anything else. A meeting of the minds is the biggest turn-on of all when Mars treks through this sign.

Jupiter

Jupiter is in Aries

Jupiter is retrograde at 07 Ari 49' 48", moving backwards at 0.07 degrees per day, and is 618809992 km away and approaching.

Jupiter In Aries

Our minds are on fire during Jupiter in Aries, ignited with innovative ideas and lightning bolts of intuition. This is an opportunity to let go of the limits of our past and come up with new solutions for the future. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and is always willing to step fearlessly into uncharted territory. During this transit, we can see possibilities to better ourselves that we simply couldn't see before. With Jupiter in Aries, it's not about taking our time to slowly map out a strategized plan, it's about feeling the spark of inspiration and running with it. The more time we take, the more restrictions and problems we realize, which will hold us back. We are encouraged to shoot from the hip, knowing that every experience is a learning experience that helps us grow.

While Jupiter often encourages us to learn from others, Jupiter in Aries is more about self-teaching and self-learning. We mustn't be afraid to take risks and try things, whether we feel prepared or not. Trying and succeeding and trying and failing are both valuable ways of learning and growing. In fact, it may even be harder to maintain attention in a traditional "teacher-and-student" educational setting during this transit, because we need to learn things our own way.

There can, however, be a danger in becoming so focused on ourselves and our own viewpoints. Opinions run hot during Jupiter in Aries, and we're impatient for action, which can fan the flames of confrontation both politically and socially. When we reject the importance of two-way dialogue, we close ourselves off to learning -- and that is a Jupiter no-no! Even though there's extra emphasis on our personal mindsets during this transit, we stifle ourselves if we think too narrowly. Remember, this is a time to expand, not to contract.

During Jupiter's transit through Aries, we make our own luck. When we embrace the power we have to control the direction of our lives, we are able to open up opportunities, solutions, relationships, and fortune that we were blind to before. Jupiter wants us to expand and embrace our potential as individuals, and to realize that we each hold the key to our big, bright, and happy futures, but it is up to us to put it in the lock and turn.

Saturn

Saturn is in Aquarius

Saturn is retrograde at 21 Aqu 24' 38", moving backwards at 0.07 degrees per day, and is 1325871372 km away and receding.

Saturn In Aquarius

Aquarian energy is humanitarian. It is full of boundless ideas about what will improve the lives of others, and how shared efforts can make the world a better place. As the 11th sign of the zodiac, Aquarius rules over the 11th House of Groups and Visions. This is the playground of visionaries, inventors, and creators. But as with anything airy, this sign exists primarily on the mental plane. This is why when grounded and pragmatic Saturn moves into Aquarius, the two inspire each other in truly monumental ways.

With this focus on structure in the realm of groups and visions, now is the perfect time for us to connect with others and take action on our most lofty plans: find ways to give back to the community, network in some way with people in your field, or lay the groundwork for that non-profit that's been kicked around for ages.

Saturn in Aquarius can also be a very auspicious time to begin or deepen a relationship. This transit brings people together to reach beyond the individual’s capabilities. Romances or marriages that are established during this time are some of the most powerful and activated unions of all.

As much as this transit strengthens and deepens connections, it also has the potential to end that which is no longer serving us (or maybe never did in the first place). Be on the lookout for people and connections that drain you, and be ready to let them go. Now is the time for building sturdy and lasting structures. Sometimes this means letting go of weak links in friendship, love, and work.

Uranus

Uranus is in Taurus

Uranus is prograde at 18 Tau 54' 58", moving at 0 degrees per day, and is 2917287512 km away and approaching.

Uranus In Taurus

Taurus is a sign that likes things steady and stable, and isn’t the best at handling big, sudden changes. But big, sudden changes are what Uranus is all about! Taurus would prefer to stick to the status quo and keep doing things the way they’ve always been done. The problem is, the old ways aren’t always the best ways. Even if we are resistant to the changes Uranus in Taurus brings, we have no choice but to go along for the ride, and, chances are, we’ll realize in the end that these changes brought us to a much better place.

Money is Taurus’ main area of expertise, so while Uranus is in Taurus, we can expect some very revolutionary ways of handling and dealing with money, both nationwide and worldwide. During the seven years Uranus will spend in Taurus, brand-new forms of currency may arise, banks and banking could come to a halt or change dramatically, and the housing and stock markets may be in for a major shake-up.

On a more personal level, Uranus in Taurus encourages us to break free from the grips of money: debt, taxes, credit card interest, rent, and mortgages are all things that can prevent us from saving money or using it the way we want to. We may also feel trapped by our material possessions in general. During this transit, we must be ready and willing to change our relationship to money and materialism. We no longer have a choice. Uranus is here to liberate us, and digging in our heels and resisting won’t make things any easier, and won’t stop these changes from happening. The changes we make during this period can actually help bring us to a point of greater stability, and can be very long-lasting.

Neptune

Neptune is in Pisces

Neptune is retrograde at 24 Pis 43' 51", moving backwards at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 4339385007 km away and approaching.

Neptune In Pisces

Neptune in Pisces grants us a unique form of sight. As the Piscean focus on emotion and spirit merges with Neptune’s pull to unify all things, a clarity emerges from the fog, shedding light on our own contradictions. We can suddenly see clearly the futility of caring about petty differences. The value of coming together shines like gold, and the path to wholeness is illuminated.

This transit calls us to look at what we each can contribute toward our collective progress and healing. We all have gifts, ideas, and dreams for how things could be. Neptune in Pisces is an invitation to explore our emotional intelligence for our own unique offerings.

This is the perfect time to take a course in a spiritual path that calls to us, or to create an altar space at home and connect with that which feels most sacred. The energy of Neptune in Pisces nudges us to consider how to then share these ideas with the world, and reminds us that its presence will support us in this process.

Pluto

Pluto is in Capricorn

Pluto is retrograde at 26 Cap 38' 01", moving backwards at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 5044920722 km away and receding.

Pluto In Capricorn

Pluto and Capricorn are both oriented toward success and power, sharing a strong sense of intention and focus that makes them very efficient in their tasks. We may find that our compassion for the viewpoints of other people gets cast aside during this transit, though, since both Pluto and Capricorn demand results. Beware of being intolerant of ideas other than your own.

Pluto wants us to jettison our negative patterns that no longer work for us. Of course, this involves some constructive destruction. Be deliberate in what you destroy as you create.

The Sun

Sun Square Mars

You are full of it today, high energy, force of will, and a dislike of any restraint. Slow down a little so you don't go flying off the handle. Physical, mental, and verbal confrontations are likely today, so stay in control. Don't speed today as the police may be watching you. Don't stay out in the sun too long. Your will is tested today and the universe wants to see if you can keep your head. As they say, "Don't have a cow." Ego conflicts and selfishness are today's problem areas. There is an unmistakable competitiveness and a “me-first” attitude with those who have Sun square or opposition Mars in their natal charts. The fighter persona is most apparent in youth, when the child is described as a “bundle of energy”, or it is remarked that he or she “can’t sit still”. The abundant energy generated by the hard aspects (especially the square) between the Sun and Mars is hard to direct in childhood. Later in life, ideally, those with these aspects have learned to channel some of their excess energy into productive avenues–perhaps through career, sports, or any area where competitiveness is considered an asset. Nevertheless, people with these aspects can meet up with more than their share of conflict, and they can most certainly rub people the wrong way. They are very motivated to get things done, to take action rather than simply talk about something, and to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. Those who know them quite well might describe these people as hot-headed and temperamental at times. They are easily frustrated, and they’re given to impulsive actions and assertion of their wills. If the aspect is found in cardinal signs, it gives impulsiveness and a short temper. If the aspect is found in fixed signs, the natives can be very hard-headed and willful. If it’s in mutable signs, it gives a restless and frustrated impatience.Essentially, those with Sun square Mars in their charts have faced conflict and are not particularly afraid of it. They have faced having their need to assert themselves blocked. Their parents may have done as much as they could to “tame” what they felt to be excess energy or aggression. In other words, they know all about conflict and blockages, so that when they are faced with a challenge or a roadblock, they don’t run away from it or hide under the covers feeling sorry for themselves. They meet challenges head-on.Sun opposition Mars people are more confrontational and argumentative than active. In youth, they might feel that they often face anger from others. They might see the Mars energy as coming from the outside. If and when they face the fact that the aggression is actually a part of their own personalities, they are more equipped to direct the competitive energy into productive avenues. Some Famous people with Sun square or opposition Mars: Jennifer Aniston (Sun square Mars and Neptune in fixed signs), Bob Dylan, Madonna, Muhammad Ali (square), Anne Heche (opposition), Jim Morrison (opposition).Note: The square, semi-square, sesquiquadrate, and opposition are also called “hard”, “challenging”, or “inharmonious” aspects.Sun in hard aspect to Mars: In this life you are learning to embody and express the energies of the warrior; courage, action, forcefulness, the ability to fight for what you want and need. However, these positive qualities can quickly degenerate into unnecessary and excessive aggression, discordant relationships, even violence. Your tendency to be impatient and hot headed, and to see everyone as a potential competitor or rival, may draw out the anger and combativeness in other people. Your challenge is to learn to use your overabundant energy in productive, or at least not destructive, action. — Interpretation from the Karmic Insight report.Sun square Mars: Sun/Mars aspects enhance your courage, assertiveness, leadership, independence, and love of power. You seek an exciting career that will allow expression of your natural enthusiasm, energy, entrepreneurial drive, and crusading spirit. When you stand up for your beliefs and values, you inspire others to follow your lead. You like being in charge and would probably feel stifled in a routine job or a subordinate position. You enjoy adventure and competition, and may be interested in Mars-ruled careers like the police, detective work, the military, politics, sports, debating, engineering, construction, haircutting, or any field that uses sharp instruments. If you do not learn to control your impulsivity and restlessness, you may be prone to headaches, nervousness, irritability, angry outbursts, accidents, or problems with the law. The Rambo movie character would have this aspect in his chart. — Interpretation from our Career Report.Sun square Mars: This is a highly emotional and fiery tempered child. The child will probably be very self-assertive not to mention argumentative. So a few lessons in toeing the line will be necessary. Kids with this aspect are often too quick to pick up a challenge even when none was intended. They must learn to calm down and not be quite so hasty. Training this child to take full responsibility from an early age, without attaching guilt, is by far the best approach. Sometimes these kids may not even recognize the effect their nature has on others, so they will be genuinely confused at the reactions an outburst may cause. The poor kid may stir people without even knowing it, by tone of voice, body language, or by not saying anything. But most importantly, put some effort into allowing this child to recognize the sheer potency of this powerful energy. Help him/her to utilize it thoroughly. The child must learn to bow out now and again – it is not always possible to run the show. Being the most dogmatic, vocal, and aggressive does not necessarily make for the best leader.Often there will be a quick temper that flares suddenly. The big lesson is to make this child responsible for any outbursts rather than reacting or maybe turning a blind eye for the sake of peace. There could be a good reason for such anger. Encourage a positive discussion making this a part of the training and guidance needed for a calmer, more in control, child. This aspect makes for some bad drivers. It also produces many good athletes. This is the real difference between using this energy constructively or destructively. — Interpretation for the KidZone report.Sun square Mars: There is a lack of harmony between your environment and your ambitions. What you need most is not always at hand to make the kind of progress you envision. Or, when the support is there, you can’t get the instruction or direction you require. You may have forgotten where it was you wanted to get to, sort of “all dressed up, but which way to go?” It could be historical, too, as simple as being torn between your mother and your father — a struggle between that which seeks to nurture you (and perhaps baby you) and your ambitions — a need to succeed and be all that you can be. — Interpretation from WinStar.Sun square Mars: (The Outraged) It is difficult for you to see a need for concession. You have no patience with another’s input when you are confident you are right. You may work harder than others and your ego demands you receive full credit. If denied or opposed, your fiery reactions may eclipse the rewards you have earned. By learning that compromise is the blending of positive energies, you employ the wisdom of a respected master instead of the mandates of a tyrant welcomed by none. — Interpretation from the Spirit Success report.

Mercury

Mercury Opposite Neptune

Confusion is likely today in your relationships with other people. Take care and read all the fine print. Stay away from taking permanent legal actions as your thinking is colored by who knows what. You may be suckered into something you don't want to do or don't believe in, so watch your step. Misunderstandings in communicating with others is possible. Remember, they may not be hearing what you are trying to say. Nervous anxiety and tension may make you feel listless today. Don't let your imagination carry you away. You might have problems concentrating because your mind is often wandering. Your thinking is exceptionally imaginative, intuitive, and creative. Stretching the truth, whether done consciously or not (or a bit of both), is associated with this position. Bored with anything dull, routine, or lifeless, you often dramatize or connect higher meaning to ordinary events and situations. You are often vague in your communications, purposefully or not, as you resist being pinned down to any one opinion or stance. This is partly due to your ability to see so many different points of view and perspectives. Logical, detail-oriented work and studies are not designed for your way of thinking and learning. Creative presentations, ripe with images and imagery, are what grab your attention and interest. Your style of communication, or possibly thinking, is often self-defeating, and you should consciously avoid a tendency to give up on projects or plans before they even get off the ground. Planning ahead is not a preference, as you prefer to move along running on the fuel of inspiration and intuition.Your style of communication may be unusual, perhaps with many pauses or digressions. You may be deliberately vague or unintentionally so, depending on your nature. Some of you are great storytellers.Sample interpretation from the Merlin report — Your mind is highly imaginative and creative and you possess dramatic, artistic, or musical abilities. As a child, you enjoyed daydreaming, fantasizing, pretending, and probably lived in “your own little world” a good deal. You perceive things which are not obvious to other people and you have an uncanny ability to “read” people and situations without being told anything about them. However, you must learn to discriminate between a true psychic perception and your imagination. Learning to discipline and focus your mind is necessary if you wish to use all of your creative potential. Otherwise, you could be simply a dreamer.Communication with others is difficult for you because you often find words frustrating and inadequate to express your experiences and perceptions. Also, you may purposefully mystify or deceive others. Some Famous People with the Mercury in Hard Aspect to Neptune: Squares – Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Donald Trump, Jim Bakker, Mae West, Spencer Tracy, Tom Snyder, Rich Little, Jack London, Bob Dylan; Oppositions – Bono (U2), Marlene Dietrich, Richard Chamberlain, Florence Henderson, Charles De Gaulle, Christian Dior.

Mercury

Mercury Trine Pluto

Your powers of perception are very sharp. You can go right to the heart of the matter with the skill of a competent surgeon. You might want to play detective today and ferret out some of nature's secrets. You long for a deeper understanding of things and have the skill today to do so. Share your discoveries with others. Conversations with others may profoundly affect your thinking.Interpretation sample from the In-Depth Profile report — You go to the origin of a problem once you start working on it. You communicate with a quick, soft-spoken force that others pick up on magnetically. You have both broad range and depth of interest. You are very versatile and make a great problem solver. Your mind is naturally interested in security issues which can run the gambit from ordinary cops and robber stuff, to high tech computer theft, national security, and the international monetary fund. To fully use your skills you should spend time analyzing your motives. Do a thorough investigation as to your own beliefs about the meaning of life. Once you have these issues resolved you will not feel as secretive and your mental energy will be freer. The trine aspect is the more dynamic of the two harmonious aspects. Those with the sextile can call upon these traits when needed, and those with the trine between the Mercury and Pluto have incorporated the traits of the aspect into their personalities, expressing them naturally and consistently. Some Famous People with Mercury in Harmonious Aspect to Pluto: Sextiles – Bruce Springsteen, Tatum O’Neal, Peter Lynch, Amelia Earhart, Troy Aikman; Trines – Drew Barrymore, Brad Pitt, Larry Bird, Bridget Fonda, Crispin Glover, Jean Harlow, Larry King, Moliere, Ralph Nader, Sylvia Plath.

Notes about Transits

Mars is all about action, and where Mars is in our chart with transits is a place where we are prepared to stand our ground. Mars transits can be really productive, but they can also be angsty, aggressive, and sometimes come from a place of anger. It's important to pay attention to how you direct that energy. Mars transits can last for up to a couple weeks.
Jupiter transits enhance your life with optimism and forward-thinking, and lasting for about a month, give you plenty of time to take advantage. Bigger and better is Jupiter's way of thinking, and should be yours as well.
Saturn transits, on the other hand, are where we get a major reality check, and if we’re not ready for them, they can be pretty rotten. Of course, if we’re prepared and up to the task, Saturn transits can also bring very well-deserved rewards, too. Saturn transits last a bit longer than Jupiter transits—usually 2 months or so at a time, but with retrograde cycles, you could be looking at the same lessons three times over a 6 month period.
The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last for such a long time that they make long-lasting impacts on our lives. In fact, Neptune and Pluto can last for two to three years! Consider their effects, plan accordingly, and make them part of your life for the better.
